Shaahin Abedizadeh
Cello teacher
Shaahin developed a passion for music during his teenage years, beginning his musical journey with traditional Iranian music. He initially learned percussion instruments and the tar, before discovering a strong interest in classical music, which led him to the cello. He has now been playing the cello for nearly 23 years and brings a wealth of experience to his teaching. With over 14 years of teaching experience working with both children and adults, Shaahin is a dedicated and experienced instructor. Several years ago, he published a cello method book in Iran, which he continues to use alongside other established methods and etudes in his teaching across music schools in Canada. He is passionate about creating a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s needs. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his children, reading books, listening to podcasts, and staying active—especially playing soccer.
