Did you also know about these 5 uncommon guitar facts?

  1. The guitar has ancient roots. Instruments similar to the guitar existed thousands of years ago, with early versions appearing in ancient civilizations.

  2. Some guitars have more than six strings. While six strings are standard, guitars can have 7, 8, 10, or even 12 strings for different sounds and playing styles.

  3. The longest guitar ever made was enormous. A giant playable guitar was built in the United States and measured over 13 metres long!

  4. The wood can change the guitar's sound. Different types of wood used for the body, neck, and fretboard can affect the instrument's tone and resonance.

  5. Electric guitars don't need a traditional hollow body. Unlike acoustic guitars, many electric guitars use a solid piece of wood and rely on pickups and an amplifier to produce their sound.
